The white shankha of the Bengali shakha-pola pairing, banded the full way round with a strip of fine engraved silver-toned work.

This is the quieter of the two shankha designs — no rosettes, just the engraved band against plain white. Worn as a pair, traditionally alongside the red pola.

Handmade, so the engraving and the depth of the white vary slightly from pair to pair.
